Germany, France and the United Kingdom urged Iran to halt attacks across the Middle East following joint US-Israeli strikes on Iranian targets.
Their appeal came after Washington and Israel carried out coordinated strikes early Saturday against Iranian military facilities and infrastructure.
The operation marked a sharp escalation in already heightened regional tensions involving Iran and its network of allied armed groups.
European officials stressed that further violence would undermine civilian safety, disrupt global trade routes and threaten fragile regional stability.
European leaders push for de-escalation
In a joint statement, the governments of Berlin, Paris and London urged Tehran to cease attacks on civilians and overseas infrastructure.
They said they condemned attacks carried out by Iran against countries in the region in the strongest possible terms.
Leaders called for an immediate resumption of negotiations and urged the Islamic regime in Tehran to pursue a diplomatic solution.
They continued by adding that the Iranian people should ultimately determine their own future.
It was emphasized that diplomacy remains the only sustainable path to resolving disputes over nuclear activities and ballistic missile development.
They warned that retaliatory strikes risk triggering broader conflict involving regional and international actors.
Germany, France and the UK have long supported diplomatic frameworks designed to limit Iran's nuclear program.
They reiterated their commitment to preventing nuclear proliferation while avoiding a wider war in the Middle East.
European officials said renewed talks could help reduce mistrust and establish verifiable limits on sensitive activities.
They added that dialogue would help address concerns about missile capabilities and regional proxy operations.
Military escalation raises global concerns
The joint US-Israeli operation demonstrated significant military coordination and advanced strike capabilities targeting Iranian cities and installations.
Officials said the strikes focused on military facilities linked to weapons development and operational planning.
The scale and precision of the attacks underscored both countries' ability to project force deep into Iranian territory.
In response, Iran vowed swift retaliation, signaling a hardening stance against further military pressure.
Iranian officials described the strikes as violations of sovereignty and warned of consequences across the region.
Analysts say the exchange has intensified fears of miscalculation that could draw in additional regional powers.
The confrontation has also raised renewed questions about the future of Iran's nuclear ambitions and missile expansion.
Some observers have speculated about potential political consequences inside Iran, though no evidence suggests imminent systemic change.
European leaders cautioned that destabilization would have far-reaching geopolitical implications beyond the Middle East.
They stressed that sustained diplomacy, backed by international coordination, offers the clearest route to preventing wider conflict.
By urging restraint on all sides, Germany, France and the UK sought to reinforce collective security efforts.
Their message underscored a shared concern that unchecked escalation would endanger civilians and undermine global stability.
Allah is with the oppressed, and He has power over all things.
This war will mark the end of the Zionists and the dismantling of the United States—a nation that constantly enters into wars for its own self-interest, specifically for the sake of oil, and invariably emerges as the sole beneficiary.
Yes to striking Israel; not the Arabs.
Oh Allah, oh Allah, may peace prevail throughout the entire world!
This is an absolutely excellent analysis that attests to the writer's brilliance—particularly his foresight regarding the developments, military buildups, and preparations for regional wars currently unfolding across the region. However, the intervention of mediation offers a glimmer of hope; may Allah spare the entire world from the calamities that threaten to engulf the region in its entirety, as well as the wider Arab world.
May Allah protect all nations; we pray that peace prevails throughout the world and that He safeguards it.
I truly wish for the war to end and for peace to prevail among all nations. This is because war brings nothing but destruction to every side. May Allah set things right!
Peace be upon you!
I won't stand with you for the sake of America.
May Allah protect all Arab nations, and may this war come to a peaceful end!
Of course, the solution to this problem is for Iran to return to solutions other than wars. This is because the current situation will drag many countries that they don't need to be involved. Likewise, America must remove all its presence within Arab countries and sit down and reach an understanding among themselves.
In order to live in safety, European countries try to achieve peace by sitting down at the negotiating table to resolve the crisis of conflict and launch a mutually agreed-upon dialogue to bring peace to the world. This requires self-restraint to avoid involving other countries in a conflict that could lead to the destruction of the world. Peace, security, and a dignified life—this is a prayer to Allah. My regards.
Iran has the right to defend itself and its soil against all hostile nations, especially the United States and Israel, which possess nuclear weapons. America wants to control the region to seize its oil and other resources, to establish bases in all the Gulf countries and to aid Israel in its aggression on many Gulf countries and in its unjust violation of their rights, as it does in the Arab State of Palestine where it attacks the people of Gaza and all Palestinian territories.
It is a civilized country and modern technology
How they start wars and how they intend to resolve them
I liked it
Iran is a terrorist state that encroaches on the territories of the Gulf states and neighbouring countries.
Why doesn't Israel submit to nuclear inspections? Enough with the hypocrisy.
Thanks
Why should Iran be the one to respond, while we ignore those who started by imposing the recitation on Iran and on you, o, you cowards?
May Allah protect us, end the war, and bring about peace!
All these matters related to artillery shelling are the product of human brain, which ultimately cannot prevail. We pray to Allah Almighty to rectify the situation, O Lord of the Worlds.
May God resolve matters and guide everyone away from war, for war destroys the Arab and Islamic world on all levels.
Yes, O Allah, strike the oppressors with other oppressors. And deliver us safely from them.
You're demanding Iran to stop the war, while the aggressor is America and its preferred partner, the Zionists. It is the aggressor who should stop the killing, demolition, and destruction. I am not with either of the two criminal parties against humanity.
America must stop the war.
Arab countries are one hand.
Iran is wrong. It's supposed to have nuclear weapons, and it should use them. Nothing is more precious than one's soul! It should train and use them against its enemies so we can be rid of the Americans and their allies, Israel, and others.
Nuclear weapons will cause harm to the entire region.
Why is America striking Iran? Why is America striking Iran? We haven't heard any comments from European countries. May Allah exact revenge on you!
Who started the war? Does this mean that he hit me, then cried, and then ran to complain?! If Iran were to stop the war, it would be making a huge mistake.
Yes, America will not stop the war.
Yes, most of this article is great.
There is no justice at all. It was America and Israel who started the war, so how can Iran stop it? Strike, O Iran, and don't stop! Allah is with the oppressed. May Allah grant you victory and strengthen your resolve! And may destruction and ruin befall the oppressors, the tyrants, the arrogant, and the tyrants on earth! Allah may delay but does not forget, they will suffer a day like the day of 'Ad, Thamud, and the people of Lot, by the will of Allah almighty.
Yes, a great overall article.
European states are unjust; they demand that Iran halt the war, yet make no such demands of predatory America and the Zionist entity.
We must remain steadfast in our words and never back down, no matter what happens. Thank you.
